The National Association of Realtors suggests 5 to 6 million new renter households will be created within the next 10 years. Despite decades of defining home ownership as the “American Dream” it seems renters aren’t in a rush to buy, preferring to stay put longer and rent. With 22% of renters in single family homes indicating they plan on living in their current rental for five years or more, Rent just may be the new Buy.
